International hospitality company Lore Group has introduced Hotel Park Ave, a rebranding of the recently acquired former Mondrian Park Avenue hotel in New York City. Located on the corner of Park Avenue South and East 30th Street, the property is the company’s seventh hotel.
“Expanding into New York City felt like the natural next step for Lore Group,” said Lore Group CEO David Taylor. “It’s a city that we all know and love, as well as one we have long drawn inspiration from. Much like London, New York City is a metropolitan hub of culture and creativity, as well as both business and leisure travelers, offering an exciting opportunity for us to bring a fresh perspective to the hospitality scene. We’re thrilled to be a new part of this city and look forward to contributing to the energy that makes New York City unlike anywhere else in the world.”
Hotel Park Ave will undergo a two-phased refurbishment beginning in 2025 with a refresh to all guestrooms in the first quarter. In the spring, Jacu Strauss, Lore Group creative director, will unveil a new lobby and nine suites. All renovations will take place in stages with minimal disruption to guests. The hotel will remain open throughout.
The property houses two private event spaces: a study and a neighboring 15th-floor terrace. New dining concepts across the hotel’s rooftop terrace bar and ground-level restaurant will be
announced this spring.
“We’re busy developing a new creative identity for Hotel Park Ave, which will be unveiled in the spring,” said Strauss. “As always, the design has been inspired by the building, its history and the NoMad neighborhood. Every touch point through the new suites will tell a story, with beautiful details creating emotional connections balanced by the requirements of operating and
delivering modern luxury experiences.”
In early 2025, the hotel will join Lore DISCOVERY, a program part of the Global Hotel Alliance, offering guests the chance to earn and spend loyalty currency across Lore Group’s other hotels and more than 800 partners globally.
