Lodging Dynamics to convert Park City Peaks Hotel to Hotel Thaynes

Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group will be converting the Park City Peaks Hotel in Park City, UT, into Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Set to be completed in October, the $21-million renovation will introduce a modern yet nostalgic take on mountain hospitality, according to the company.

The 127 rooms will offer spa-inspired bathrooms, while select accommodations will have balconies. Ski storage areas will also be available. The hotel’s restaurant, Versante Hearth + Bar, will showcase a refreshed design.

The property is located close to Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort, with shuttle service to the slopes and Main Street. The hotel’s redesign takes inspiration from Park City’s pioneering spirit, paying homage to the Thaynes Canyon mining district through curated artwork, design and immersive guest experiences, according to the company.

In addition to its new design, Hotel Thaynes will offer amenities such as an indoor pool and expanded sauna, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center and steamroom, fire pits and an outdoor BBQ area.

“Park City has a one-of-a-kind spirit, and Hotel Thaynes will embody that energy while bringing a refreshing, boutique experience to visitors and the community,” said Jamie Caraher, president/CEO, Lodging Dynamics. “This renovation will enhance every aspect of the hotel, from the guestrooms to the social spaces, while embracing the indie spirit and character that make Tribute Portfolio hotels so special.”

During the renovation, the property will remain open.
