LebaTex Celebrates 20th With Collaborations

Product designer, Stacy Garcia, founded LebaTex in 1999 when she saw a void in the hospitality marketplace for quality, designer fabric. To commemorate the company’s growth from a garage in the suburbs to an international textile supplier for the interior design community, LebaTex partnered with 20 interior designers and firms to develop 20 unique patterns. These five newly released patterns mark the culmination of a year-long collaborative effort.

The five new patterns, now available exclusively through LebaTex, were created in collaboration with designers from ForrestPerkins, Mendil + Meyer Design Studio, Ritsick Design Associates, Suomi Design Works and Studio K Creative. Each pattern was conceptualized by the designers at these firms, who then worked closely with LebaTex to produce the patterns on fabric.

“Stacy Garcia and LebaTex are iconic within the hospitality industry and for years have pushed the design envelope to redefine the textile landscape,” said Michael Suomi, president of Suomi Design Works and 20th Anniversary Collection collaborator. “I am honored to be part of their landmark 20th anniversary celebration and collection, and look forward to the next 20.”

“The design community is so tightly knit and supportive of its members,” said Garcia, owner/CEO of LebaTex. “We wanted to not only celebrate our milestone, but also recognize the amazing collaborative nature of this industry and the people that make it that way.”

The 20th Anniversary Collection is now available through the LebaTex M.O.D. Program, a custom printed fabric solution with a one-yard minimum. Each pattern can be customized for color and scale, and printed on any of LebaTex’s commercial upholstery, drapery or bedding base cloths.
