John Krueger, Josh Slack join Auro Hotels

Auro Hotels has added two industry veterans to its Resource Center team. John Krueger joins as the EVP, investments & development, while Josh Slack assumes the role of director of finance.

Krueger brings more than two decades of finance expertise, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management and strategic financial advisory services. At Auro Hotels, he spearheads smart growth initiatives, focusing on new acquisitions.

“I am thrilled to join the Auro Hotels team and contribute to its growth trajectory,” said Krueger. “My aim is to leverage my experience to enhance the company’s investment strategies and development initiatives.”

Prior to his tenure at Auro Hotels, Krueger provided advisory services spanning investment valuation, asset management and real estate development. With a focus on the lodging and seniors’ housing industries, he managed portfolios valued at more than $500 million and facilitated transactions exceeding $2 billion in various sectors.

Slack’s career journey includes roles at firms such as Ernst and Young, Extended Stay America, OTO Development and, most recently, Aileron Management.

He has overseen the accounting for multiple multibillion-dollar acquisitions and has a proven track record of utilizing technology to drive efficiencies, according to the company.

Orlando Courtyard acquisition

In other news from Auro Hotels, the company has purchased the Courtyard Orlando Airport. This strategic property acquisition brings Auro’s Orlando portfolio to eight properties and 1,521 rooms.

The Courtyard Orlando Airport is located just over two miles north of Orlando International Airport. The 149-room hotel offers an outdoor pool, The Bistro restaurant and 1,500 sq. ft. of events space.
