Jackson-Shaw developing dual-branded hotel in Vegas

Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate developer headquartered in North Texas, is developing the dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott Symphony Park and Element by Westin Symphony Park in Las Vegas. Groundbreaking is set for January, with opening in late 2025.

“Symphony Park is an exciting and transformative development in Las Vegas, aimed at creating a mixed-use urban environment that blends culture, green spaces, residential living and economic opportunities to enhance the city’s downtown district,” said Mayor Carolyn Goodman. “Jackson-Shaw’s dual-branded hotel is a welcome addition to the dynamic area.”

The five-story development will feature a total of 441 guestrooms, 322 at the AC Hotel and 119 at The Element. The development will also include 18,025 sq. ft. of flexible ballroom and meeting space, and seven entertainment suites with an outdoor pool and terrace. The 261,530-sq.-ft. building is on 2.63 acres. It is expected to provide 150 full-time and 50 part-time jobs.

“This venture marks a significant milestone in Jackson-Shaw’s growth and reflects our unwavering commitment to fueling economic growth and enriching the hospitality landscape within the cities we operate,” said Joe Blewitt, SVP, hotel development. “We’ve developed 21 hotels and more than 63 million sq. ft. of commercial real estate since 1972, including the Renaissance Las Vegas.”

The hotel is being developed in partnership with Compatriot Capital, and Hall Structured Finance is providing construction financing. Grand Canyon Development Partners is the construction manager, Whiting-Turner is the general contractor and Cooper Carry is the architect.
