Hotel management company InnVentures has added the Residence Inn Seattle Northgate Station to its portfolio. The new hotel, developed by Simon, continues a decades-long relationship between InnVentures and Residence Inn and adds a hospitality amenity to the Northgate Station complex.
“We were the first management company to partner with Residence Inn by Marriott in the Seattle region 42 years ago, and over the decades we’ve continued to enjoy a strong relationship with the brand,” said David Montrose, EVP/head, InnVentures. “We’re very happy to have the new hotel at Northgate Station bring that relationship full circle, and to be partnered with Simon on this region’s most exciting new shopping and recreational destination.”
The 167-room joins the Northgate Sound Transit light rail bus station and Kraken Community Iceplex, the training facility for the Seattle Kraken NHL team in the development, which also includesshops, restaurants and communal gathering areas
The company also announced that it has completed the conversion of the Crowne Plaza Portland-Lake Oswego to the AC Hotel Portland Lake Oswego in Oregon, which is now open.
“AC Hotels by Marriott has built a stellar reputation for its elevated sense of style, high standards and impeccable service, which is why it maintains such a dedicated community of repeat guests,” said Montrose. “For those drawn to Lake Oswego’s magnificent beauty and outdoor space, the AC Hotel Portland Lake Oswego offers a guest experience unlike any other in this area.”
Owned by locally based BHG Hotels, the hotel offers 161 guestrooms, and indoor/outdoor swimming pool, the AC Lounge and a fitness center that has doubled in size under the conversion. The property also has six event rooms with a total space of more than 4.500 sq. ft., more than any other hotel in the area.
“We’ve dedicated our energy to crafting a seamless, thoughtfully designed hotel experience that enhances every part of the guest’s stay,” says Bakulesh (Buggsi) Patel, principal, BHG Hotels. “We’re particularly excited about our food and beverage offerings. The AC Kitchen, inspired by the elegance of a high-end residential kitchen, provides the perfect setting for our European-style breakfast. Meanwhile, the AC Lounge—the heartbeat of the hotel—invites guests to collaborate in style during the day and enjoy handcrafted cocktails and delectable bites in the evening.”
