Hotel Equities (HE) and Beechwood Pinnacle have opened the AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown located in the historic Rialto Building in Kansas City, MO.
The 239-room hotel was developed by Beechwood Pinnacle and is operated by Hotel Equities. The general contractor, VCC, and architect, Campo Architects, are also co-owners in the hotel with HE and Beechwood.
“We are immensely proud to see the hotel come to life,” said Chet Patel, chief development officer, Beechwood Pinnacle. “The project represents a significant investment for our partners and us, not only financially but in terms of our shared vision to honor the heritage of this iconic location while delivering a modern experience for guests. It’s incredibly rewarding to see all the planning, effort and collaboration come together in such a remarkable way, and we believe this property will stand as a lasting testament to the dedication and partnerships that made it possible.”
The hotel’s design-driven lobby showcases custom artwork, rich textures and finishes that honor the building’s historic architectural charm.
“At Hotel Equities, our focus is always on delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for every guest,” said Peter Tziahanas, EVP, operations, Hotel Equities. “With the opening of the AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown, we are proud to bring our operational excellence to this stunning property. Our team, led by General Manager Alison Meeler, is committed to providing the highest level of hospitality, ensuring that every detail—from the guestrooms to the dining experiences—reflects the unique charm and sophistication of the AC brand while exceeding guest expectations.”
As part of its community engagement efforts, the hotel partnered with Exceptional Humans, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with diverse abilities. The partnership will involve hosting job training sessions and creating employment opportunities for people in the local community.
“We are thrilled to be part of the AC Hotel KC Downtown development alongside our great partners at Beechwood Pinnacle,” said Joe Reardon, chief development officer, HE. “We found a shared vision and alignment with the principals of Beechwood Pinnacle and look forward to growing our partnership with future opportunities to collaborate if the opportunity presents itself.”
