Hotel Brands Debut in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Illinois

NATIONAL REPORT—Brands are moving into new markets across the U.S. with openings in Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Illinois. Here’s more from Tryp by Wyndham, Kimpton and GrandStay Hotels:

Tryp by Wyndham Moves into Pennsylvania
Tryp Pittsburgh Lawrenceville has opened its doors and will celebrate its official opening on June 6. Pittsburgh’s first art hotel has work by more than 30 local artists and is located in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. Tryp Pittsburgh Lawrenceville is the first Tryp by Wyndham concept in the state of Pennsylvania and was developed by Century Hospitality. The 108-room hotel is located in the former Washington Education Center and has two restaurants, a wine shop, coffee bar, rooftop lounge and event spaces.

Kimpton Expands in Nebraska With Historic Property
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open its first property in Nebraska, a complete rehabilitation of the historic Blackstone Hotel and former office building. The project is scheduled to open in the spring of 2020.  Located in the Blackstone District of Omaha near several iconic American companies, the century-old property will have 205 guestrooms, a steakhouse, bar, pool and event space. The hotel was developed by Clarity Development Company and GreenSlate Development. Leo A Daly and DLR Group will lead the architecture and interior design process in partnership with Kimpton’s design team. The Kimpton Omaha property is owned by the principals of Clarity and GreenSlate and their local investment partners and will be managed by Pivot Hotels & Resorts.

GrandStay Hospitality Expands Brand
Minneapolis-based GrandStay Hospitality LLC, the franchisor for GrandStay Hotels, will expand its brand into Illinois. The GrandStay Hotel & Suites Peoria, IL will have indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, business center, meeting facilities and free WiFi.
