Hotel Brands Add to Collections

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Autograph Collection, Ascend Collection and Curio Collection by Hilton have all added to their portfolios. Here’s more on the recent additions:

Autograph Collection Hotels Expands in Florida with The Ben
Autograph Collection Hotels has opened The Ben, the first hotel on the downtown West Palm Beach, FL waterfront. The Ben joins Autograph Collection’s portfolio of 18 hotels in Florida, including the newly opened Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club in Miami Beach, The Daytona in Daytona Beach and Fenway Hotel in Dunedin.

The 208-room, new-build hotel was pioneered by South Florida architecture firm EoA and its founder and design director Malcolm Berg. The property has a signature restaurant, a rooftop lounge and bar and more than 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The Ben is owned and operated by Concord Hospitality.

Eco-Friendly Hotel Joins Choice Hotels’ Ascend Collection
Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), Page Development Group and Choice Hotels’ Ascend Hotel Collection reveal the first Winter the Dolphin’s Beach Club Hotel. With the conversion expected to be unveiled in the spring with 91 rooms, this eco-friendly hotel will be dolphin and marine life themed, featuring the inspiring dolphin made famous by the Dolphin Tale movies—Winter.

Page Development Group, the owner of this and three other hotels in the Tampa area, has a strong passion for the environment. After considering the environmental impacts of rebuilding versus refurbishing, Page opted to overhaul an existing hotel and reuse existing materials. Proceeds from each room night will go directly to the care, education, research and conservation of marine mammals through the work of CMA.

Curio Collection by Hilton Adds Key West Resort
Following a multimillion-dollar renovation, The Reach Key West has been added to Hilton’s Curio Collection. The reimagined 150-room resort, owned by Park Hotels & Resorts, is positioned on the only natural sand beach in the southernmost tip of the continental U.S. in Key West.

The resort also has a new oceanfront restaurant and bar, a fitness center, more than 4,000 sq. ft. of event space, and a partnership with on-site activity vendor Barefoot Billy’s, providing island jet ski tours, snorkeling and eco-friendly coral reef exploration. In addition, The Reach Key West is the first hotel in Key West to offer an Escape Room experience in partnership with Key West Room Escape.

The Hamilton, a Curio Collection by Hilton Begins Construction
Mayfair Street Partners and Hotel Equities have revealed The Hamilton, a Curio Collection by Hilton. Construction is underway on the luxury 119-room hotel in Alpharetta, GA’s city-center district. The hotel is owned and being developed by Alpharetta-based Mayfair Street Partners LLC. Atlanta-based Hotel Equities will operate the hotel and is an investor into the project.

The hotel will include the 1858 Public House restaurant and bar, a fitness center, retail establishments and meeting and event space. Additional features of the development include a high-end adult-oriented entertainment level with a speakeasy bar and social club.

Curio Collection by Hilton Adds Property in the Dominican Republic
Hilton has revealed the signing and groundbreaking of Curio Collection by Hilton’s debut property in the Dominican Republic, Hotel Santiago. Set to open in late 2022, the modern hotel will form part of Santiago Center, an upscale mixed-use development offering a variety of entertainment including more than 15 dining options, shopping mall, local artisan market and children’s play area.

Situated within the island’s largest territory of El Cibao, Hotel Santiago, Curio Collection by Hilton will offer upscale accommodation in Santiago de Los Caballeros, one of the Dominican Republic’s main financial, agricultural and cultural districts. The new hotel, planned to be LEED certified, will have 177 guestrooms, a rooftop bar and signature restaurant, meeting spaces and an outdoor pool.The hotel is owned by Green Earth Investments Ltd. and will be managed by Trust Hospitality.
