Hello Kitty is checking in. In Tokyo, Keio Plaza Hotel Tama will welcome Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and her friends on-property with photo ops in the lobby and character themed rooms—Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars (Kiki and Lala), to name a few.
For the selfie-obsessed, a picture with their favorite childhood character is possible. The motif is based on an original character named Princess Kitty, who is outfitted in a gown and tiara at the top of the stairs for dramatic effect. In addition, a vivid high-heel chair, rose-patterned carpet and other elaborate features accentuate the setting.
At Keio Plaza Hotel Tama, Hello Kitty-themed rooms first opened in November 2014 and have been popular with guests. Sanrio’s amusement park, Puroland, is a short distance away and the hotel’s lobby lounge and delicatessen serve specially created Hello Kitty cakes and desserts.
