This extensive renovation project will encompass 1,053 guestrooms and suites, which will be reimagined with new tools for productivity for all guest personas, such as a height-adjustable work table and layered lighting, while retaining some of the classic Sheraton signature amenities, including the Sheraton Sleep Experience platform bed and offering LED lighting throughout. The refurbished rooms, with a color palette inspired by the natural colors of the marina and coast, seamlessly blend in understated nautical elements, intricate woven textures, nature-inspired motifs and artwork that takes cues from the local surroundings, all echoing the essence of the property—The Heart of the Harbor. The rooms exude a cozy, homelike ambiance, akin to a refreshing breeze. The redesign respects the legacy of the brand, with a nod towards the future traveler, featuring upgraded amenities that will ensure guests enjoy a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and the hotel’s long-standing reputation for exceptional hospitality.
In addition to the revitalization of its guest accommodations, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina will unveil more than 130,000 sq. ft. of newly renovated meeting space in the Marina Tower. The crowning glory of the renovation is the appointment of the hotel’s new chef, Chef Marcos Seville, whose culinary expertise will oversee all dining operations. As part of its transformation, the resort will welcome four new concepts including Rumorosa, a Cali-Baja-inspired dining outlet, Brewery X craft beer pub, Sunglow harborside bar and cabana club, and Strada, a casual grab-and-go eatery.
