Gettys Group names two new CEOs

The Gettys Group Companies has named Ron Swidler as CEO, The Gettys Group Companies, and Jerry Zeitner, CEO, Ridgeline Development Partners, the firm’s hotel development arm. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1.

“This is an exciting inflection point for Gettys,” said Andrew Fay, cofounder/president, The Gettys Group Companies. “[It’s] a pivotal moment and great opportunity for future growth based on fresh thinking and new perspectives.”

Roger Hill, the company’s CEO/cofounder, added, “Ron and Jerry will take what we have achieved together over the past 35 years and bring it to the next level, realizing our firm’s vision and potential.”

Both Swidler and Zeitner are longtime Gettys Group team members who have been integral in expanding the firm’s offerings and global impact. Swidler joined Gettys nearly 35 years ago and rose to chief innovation officer. Zeitner joined Gettys just under 28 years ago and currently serves as chief development officer, Ridgeline Development Partners.

Now, as CEOs, the two executives will be guiding their companies and culture, focusing on innovation and growth to better serve clients and their guests.

Hill will take on the new position of executive chairman of the board of directors and still actively engage in key projects and relationships. Fay will be the lead independent director of the board and will be an active special advisor to the CEOs.

“We eagerly pass the torch with happiness, confidence and the knowledge that this is the right time, and these are the right people,” said Hill. “They will, no doubt, do great things for Gettys and Ridgeline.”

Fay concluded, “As we move into this next phase, we want to express our thanks to our brilliant team members for the commitment, creativity and energy they bring to our clients and projects every day. We know we speak for all of them in offering heartfelt congratulations to Ron and Jerry on these well-deserved promotions.”
