Salamander Collection, the luxury hotel company founded by Sheila Johnson, has appointed George Terpilowski as its new SVP, operations. In his new role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotels and resorts within the company’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Salamander, Terpilowski was the GM of Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta. A seasoned luxury hospitality professional with decades of experience, he also served as regional VP, Northeast with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, which included oversight of Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston, Boston Raffles and The Plaza Hotel in New York.

Terpilowski has previously served as managing director and regional VP of Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda with oversight of Hamilton Princess Bermuda, Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico and Royal Pavillion in Barbados; as GM of Fairmont Washington, DC, Georgetown; and as GM of The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. His career began with Grand Heritage Hotels, where he oversaw The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, FL, Union Station Nashville and The Clift Hotel San Francisco.
