Four U.S. Openings to Know

NATIONAL REPORT—Marriott’s AC Hotels brand continues to grow; boutique property Hotel Revival brings new eats to Baltimore, MD; Arc the Hotel gives guests a tech-savvy experience; and Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn expand out West. Here’s a closer look:

AC Marriott Expands to NuLu

Marriott’s AC Hotels brand opened its 40th property in the U.S. and 132nd in the world. The AC Hotel by Marriott Louisville Downtown, also known as AC Hotel NuLu, or New Louisville, is a five-story, 156-room property comprising 73,000 sq.-ft. and a 195-space parking garage.

On-property highlights include a lounge, kitchen, gym and library. Nearby, guests can find the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge that traverses the Ohio River, the concert venue KFC Yum! Center, along with museums and other attractions on Main St.

Following the recent New York City opening, there are currently more AC locations underway in nearby cities including Nashville, TN, and St. Louis.

Hotel Revival Finds Home in Baltimore, MD

Hotel Revival has opened in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore, MD.  This is the first Joie de Vivre hotel in the city.

The new 107-room, 14-story boutique hotel offers updated design, new restaurants and bars. Dining options include Square Meal, the hotel’s signature farm-inspired restaurant and market, and Topside, a year-round rooftop restaurant and garden bar.

In addition, the hotel partnered with Back on My Feet, a nonprofit that combats homelessness, to fill positions with locals.

Arc Brings Tech Amenities to DC

Formally University Inn, Arc the Hotel has opened in northwest Washington, DC, with 136 guestrooms, views of the Potomac River and tech-based amenities.

Guests can enter their rooms via mobile devices and can stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and more in-room on 55-in. televisions. In addition, digitally enhanced amenities include a customizable pillow menu and mobile concierge.

The hotel is close to The Kennedy Center, George Washington University & Hospital, the IMF/World Bank headquarters, the National Mall, the Metro’s orange and blue rail lines as well as shopping destinations on M St.

Hilton Garden Inn Makes its Way Out West

The Hotel Group (THG) will be opening the Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Bellevue Downtown located in Bellevue, WA.

The 254-room, six-story property is located near downtown Seattle and several Fortune 500 businesses including Microsoft, Clearwire, Expedia, Symetra and T-Mobile. Also nearby is Bellevue Square. and Bravern Shopping Mall. Other attractions include Bellevue Botanical Gardens, Meydenbauer Bay and the Space Needle.

Dining options include 47 North Bar + Bistro, a Northwest fusion cuisine on-site restaurant. There’s also complimentary WiFi throughout the property, 24-hour remote printing, a fitness center, saltwater pool and whirlpool along with guest laundry. The property has more than 3,175 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space and can accommodate events up to 150 people.

The Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Bellevue Downtown was developed by West77 Partners and is being managed by The Hotel Group.

Residence Inn Grows in Seattle Area

The 170-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Seattle opens today. The all-suite Residence Inn Seattle Sea-Tac Airport will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Western International and managed by Texas Western International Partners LP of Dallas.

The Residence Inn Seattle Sea-Tac Airport is an all-suite hotel that has studios, some with balconies overlooking Angle Lake. There’s also a grocery delivery service, complimentary WiFi, 24-hour on-site food and beverage market, dry cleaning services and on-site guest laundry room. The hotel’s weeknight evening gatherings offer a casual environment where guests can eat and drink. The hotel also has a business library where guests can fax, copy and print materials, and provides guests with a meeting room, an on-site bar, a rooftop deck for lake views, a fitness center and access to Angle Lake.

The property is located near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and close to downtown Seattle, as well as attractions like the Space Needle, Pike Place Market and CenturyLink Field. The Residence Inn Seattle Sea-Tac Airport offers its guests access to Angle Lake Park, Westfield Southcenter Mall and Angle Lake Station on the Link Light Rail.
