NATIONAL REPORT—There’s been a spate of openings in the U.S., including a couple properties in Louisville and more. Here’s a few you should know:
AC Hotel Louisville Downtown
The AC Hotel Louisville Downtown, located in the NuLu (New Louisville) neighborhood at 727 East Market St., is accepting reservations for May 2. The new five-story hotel is making final touches before opening its doors. The hotel has created buzz during the last year for its modular construction approach.
The five-story, 156-room hotel is 73,000 sq. ft., with a 195-parking space garage. The property is being developed by The 725 Partners: Ron and Mollie Turnier who founded Creation Gardens; Rob Webber, COO of Creation Gardens; local developer Terry Chynoweth; and Steve Kersey, the lead architect and partner of Kersey and Kersey.
Concord Hospitality Enterprises based in Raleigh will manage the property, which will operate as an AC Hotel by Marriott brand.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown
Developed and owned by Poe Companies, REI Real Estate Services and White Lodging, and managed by White Lodging, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown offers 133 new suites with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. There’s also a complimentary, daily full-hot breakfast, evening social Monday through Thursday, WiFi and a grocery shopping service.
My Place Hotel-Greenville, SC
My Place Hotels has opened a property in Greenville, SC, marking the brand’s 38th open location and its 19th state debut. Located at 11 Ketron Ct., My Place is within walking distance to restaurants and retail centers. The four-story, 85-unit hotel is independently owned by M.P. Greenville LLC, and operated by CUSA LLC.
Each extended-stay guestroom has a My Kitchen, complete with a two-burner cooktop, a microwave and a full refrigerator. The property is pet-friendly and includes on-site laundry facilities, complimentary high-speed internet service and a 24-hour My Store, located in the hotel lobby and stocked with an array of supplies.
Sleep Inn
Sleep Inn, part of Choice Hotels International Inc., has opened a new property in Houston.
The 80-room Sleep Inn & Suites hotel is located at 3850 Wilcrest Dr. and features an evolved look from the inside out. Highlights range from a nature-inspired, timeless look to an exclusive Zenses bath line, free WiFi and hot breakfast.
The brand recently surpassed 400 properties open worldwide, with a pipeline of more than 140 hotels. The Houston location is one of several major market openings this year, in addition to Denver; Fort Worth, TX; and Jacksonville, FL.
