Interstate Hotels & Resorts Adds David Jurcak to Leadership Team
Interstate has tapped David Jurcak as VP of operations-transitions. He has a history as managing director and GM for U.S properties, including The Homestead Resort, Barton Creek Resort & Spa, and meeting hotels like Atlanta’s Omni Hotel at CNN Center. His success with Omni Hotels & Resorts landed him repeated acknowledgements as a top performing GM.
Hyatt Selects Senior Leader to Advance Global Well-being Strategy
Hyatt has selected Mia Kyricos as SVP, global head of well-being. She reports to Mark Vondrasek, Hyatt’s chief commercial officer. In this role, she’s responsible for shaping a multidimensional global well-being strategy, providing leadership and subject matter expertise to help establish the vision, objectives and strategic priorities for well-being at Hyatt.
Most recently, Kyricos served as president/CEO of Kyricos & Associates LLC, a boutique advisory firm providing guidance to wellness-driven hospitality, tourism and healthy lifestyle companies. Prior to that, she was chief brand officer at Spafinder Wellness Inc., where she co-founded the Wellness Travel Awards program which was previously issued annually across 40 countries at the World Travel Market. She also held leadership roles at Core Performance, the workplace wellness division of EXOS, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where she created six international spa brands and signature wellness experiences.
The Dow Hotel Company Names Jackie Lee VP of Hotel Investments
The Dow Hotel Company (DHC) has named Jackie Lee VP of hotel investments. In her new role, she’s responsible for helping grow DHC’s portfolio of large-size, first-class, full-service hotels through smaller, boutique, independent properties. Prior to joining DHC, she held a number of roles with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, culminating with VP of hotel investments. In that position, she played a strategic role for direct management of the company’s U.S. hotel portfolio. While there, she also served as VP of strategic growth and corporate communications director/special assistant to the board for the company’s Shanghai division.
