Real estate developer Jackson-Shaw has opened its dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott Symphony Park and Element by Westin Symphony Park in Las Vegas. The property is Marriott’s largest dual-branded AC and Element development.
“This AC Hotel by Marriott and Element by Westin hit a high note in Symphony Park,” said Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley. “The development blends modern design with meaningful simplicity in a calm, non-gaming, non-smoking environment. Located near downtown and the Arts District, this development is a welcome and refined retreat in the city’s cultural core.”
The two hotels, connected under one roof, are located between the World Market Center and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The five-story development provides 441 guestrooms.
“This highly anticipated development, which broke ground in January 2024, has been years in the making,” said Joe Blewitt SVP, hotel development, Jackson-Shaw. “There’s already considerable momentum and interest, and we’re excited to launch with such a strong leadership team—GM Mark Kirsch, Sales Director Malia Johnson and Executive Chef Chris Kight.”
The AC Hotel by Marriott features 322 rooms, while the Element by Westin offers 119. The property has more than 18,000 sq. ft. of ballroom and meeting space, complemented by dining options, seven entertainment suites, an outdoor pool and a terrace.
“We’re thrilled to have created more than 200 new full- and part-time positions at the hotel—and over 2,000 jobs during construction—while promoting economic growth through hundreds of vendor partnerships,” said Michele Wheeler, president/CEO, Jackson-Shaw. “With a long-standing commitment to philanthropy and corporate citizenship, Jackson-Shaw looks forward to becoming a true partner in the Las Vegas community—not just as a business, but as a contributor to the city’s ongoing growth and success.”
The hotel was developed in partnership with Compatriot Capital, with construction financing provided by Hall Structured Finance. Grand Canyon Development Partners served as the construction manager, Whiting-Turner as the general contractor and Cooper Carry as the project architect. Crescent Hotels & Resorts manages the property.
