Dual-branded AC/Element opens in Miami; more debuts

Recent openings include a dual-branded AC Hotel and Element in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, a Cambria hotel in California and a resort in the U.S Virgin Islands.

AC Hotel/Element Miami Brickell
The Robert Finvarb Companies and Concord Hospitality have opened the dual-branded 156-room AC Hotel Miami Brickell and 108-suite Element Miami Brickell in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. The properties share an outdoor rooftop pool, a fitness center, 4,683 sq. ft. of versatile event space and Rosa Sky rooftop bar & lounge, which is scheduled to debut in Q1 2022.

The AC Hotel Miami Brickell’s guestrooms feature an open closet, a desk and views of the downtown Miami area. Amenities include complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, the AC Kitchen, the AC Lounge and the AC Library.

The Element Miami Brickell guestrooms offer in-room kitchens, while amenities include complimentary breakfast and WiFi throughout the property.

Located across from the Brickell City Centre, the 22-story property is near the Port of Miami, Bayfront Park, FTX Arena, LoanDepot Park and Mary Brickell Village.

Cambria Hotel Calabasas
Cambria Hotels, an upscale brand franchised by Choice Hotels International Inc., has opened the Cambria Hotel Calabasas. This marks Cambria’s fifth franchised property in California, joining Cambria Hotel Anaheim Resort Area, Cambria Hotel LAX, Cambria Hotel Sonoma Wine Country and Cambria Hotel Napa Valley.

The 125-room Cambria Hotel Calabasas is adjacent to the Santa Monica Mountains and is near several corporate headquarters, including Cheesecake Factory and Harbor Freight, in addition to tourist attractions such as Malibu Creek State Park, Pepperdine University, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Camarillo Premiere Outlet Malls and Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

The property features amenities such as multi-purpose indoor and outdoor spaces, including an outdoor pool with mountain views and open-air dining patio; on-site barista coffee bar and dining option; multi-function meeting and event spaces; and a fitness center.

The hotel was developed by Rondell Hotel LLC and is managed by Weintraub Real Estate Group.

Lovango Resort + Beach Club
Lovango Resort + Beach Club, the first new-build resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands in more than 30 years, has opened, offering luxury treehouses, glamping tents, villas, a retail village, dining options and beach experiences. Set on its own private island off the coast of St. John, Lovango Resort + Beach Club is accessible by way of private ferry from St. John and St. Thomas or via private boat. The resort is owned by Mark and Gwenn Snider.

Eleven Tree Tops suites are designed by Michael Kramer of Michael Thomas & Co. All Lovango Tree Tops suites, a unique offering in the Caribbean, are designed for minimal environmental impact. Each suite is near the Tree Tops Lobby where continental breakfast will be served daily and guests also have access to the Beach Club, two island beaches and restaurants. There are also five Luxury Treehouses with indoor and outdoor showers and a deck with lounge chairs and wrap-around benches.

Amenities include membership to Lovango Beach Club, WiFi-ready iPads, high-speed Internet, daily continental breakfast buffet and complimentary ferry services to/from St. Thomas and St. John and the National Park Beaches of St. John.
