Driftwood completes renovation of Delta West Palm Beach

Driftwood Hospitality Management (DHM) has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of Delta Hotels by Marriott West Palm Beach, a 199-key hotel located in South Florida.

Formerly a Holiday Inn, the property is owned by Miami-based real estate investment firm Activate Hospitality, with DHM overseeing management operations. Renovations include lobby and restaurant modernization, versatile meeting spaces, the introduction of the Ocean Blend Café and common area enhancements, as well as new guestroom soft goods and improvements.

“The renovation of this project demonstrated a need for higher-end hotel offerings that satisfied demand in one of Florida’s most important markets,” said David Buddemeyer, president, DHM. “The property is now properly positioned to raise the standard in accommodating high-end visitors to the Palm Beach metro area, elevating the region’s profile in the process.”

The hotel also includes The Dive Bar and more than 8,200 sq. ft. of meeting space across 10 event rooms.

“As business demand in the area continues to grow, we wanted to ensure that guests were met with the highest degree of service and technology that created a holistic travel experience meeting their every need,” said Bryan Postema, COO, DHM.

Carol Davies, SVP, commercial strategy, DHM, added, “Given the proximity of this hotel to Palm Beach International Airport, Palm Beach and surrounding businesses, our goal was to bring this property up to par in a way that exceeds expectations for visitors in this market.

Sagar Desai, founder/principal, Activate Hospitality, said, “Working with DHM on the rebranding and renovation of this property has allowed us to provide the Palm Beach market with a hotel asset up to par with shifting tastes in consumer demand. Looking ahead, the investments made to reposition this hotel, coupled with DHM’s management expertise and capabilities in lifestyle hospitality, will allow us to deliver one of the area’s most compelling assets.”

The hotel is near I-95, Palm Beach International Airport and The Town of Palm Beach.
