Diplomat Beach Resort transitions to Signia by Hilton property

The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL, has transitioned to the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort.

The 1,000-room resort, which originally opened in 1958, was acquired by Trinity Investments in 2023 and has completed an $80-million transformation of public spaces and dining venues.

“The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter—not just for the hotel, but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region,” said Chris Nassetta, president/CEO, Hilton. “As we expand Signia by Hilton in key gateway and resort destinations, this property is a great example of how we’re building on strong foundations to meet what today’s travelers are looking for—thoughtful design, standout dining, and unforgettable experiences.”

Meghan Fitzgerald, global brand leader, Signia by Hilton, said, “Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort represents a defining moment for the Signia by Hilton brand as we continue our pivotal phase of growth with openings and signings around the globe. This opening introduces a new kind of luxury stay—combining sophisticated design, exceptional service and world-class experiences that bring guests together in meaningful ways, from large-scale events to everyday moments, in one of the country’s most dynamic markets.”

Sean Hehir, managing partner/president/CEO, Trinity Investments, added, “The debut of Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort marks a significant milestone in realizing our long-term vision for the property. Working alongside Hilton, we’ve focused on making thoughtful, strategic investments across the resort—proudly bringing together a world-class brand platform with our hands-on approach to enhance the property’s positioning, build on its enduring legacy and strengthen its standing as one of South Florida’s leading beachfront destinations.”

The resort’s redesigned lobby features layered lounge seating, communal tables and intimate nooks. Just beyond the lobby is The Verandah, the newly reimagined oceanfront outdoor deck, which now includes the Solara Infinity Pool and refreshed Grand Lagoon Pool to the adults-only Verandah Social Club, alongside elevated cabanas and daybeds and a new oceanfront jacuzzi. Nearby, Horizon Lawn, a new outdoor event space, offers a scenic setting for meetings and events, family activities and live entertainment.

The property also offers updated dining venues under the direction of Miguel Santiago, director of culinary. The F&B concepts include Palmea Kitchen, offering Mediterranean-influenced breakfast; The Press café; Playa, the beachfront bar and grill; Solara all-day lounge; and Diplomat Prime, the resort’s signature steakhouse.

Another addition is Club Signia on the 33rd floor. Spanning 6,660 sq. ft. of indoor and terrace space with Atlantic and intracoastal views, the club is available to guests reserving premium room categories on floors 32 to 36 and Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve members.

Club Signia provides personalized pre-arrival outreach from a dedicated ambassador, priority access to hotel amenities and an intimate lounge environment that transitions throughout the day. Guests enjoy curated breakfast; midday meal presentations; evening cocktails and sweets; wellness-focused bites; and upgraded in-room amenities.

Another addition is The Verandah Social Club, an adults-only outdoor pool and cabana space available for reservation via ResortPass to both hotel guests and South Florida visitors or locals.

The property also features more than 200,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space, a 50,000-sq.-ft. Great Hall, four ballrooms and 39 breakout rooms, as well as The Diplomat Spa + Wellness.
