Tapestry Collection by Hilton Debuts in Canada
Tapestry Collection by Hilton opened Canvas Moncton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which also represents the brand’s debut in Canada. This boutique hotel is inspired by the multiculturalism that defines Moncton, and the hotel name itself is derived from a blank canvas—where every work of art begins.

Situated in Atlantic Canada’s entertainment capital, Canvas Moncton has 97 light-filled guestrooms, many of which offer balconies for sweeping views of the surrounding city. As guests roam the halls, they’ll be exposed to art from local and international artists, providing an art gallery vibe that reflects the eclectic feel of Moncton.

The property also has state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces that can accommodate up to 120 guests; Gahan House, the in-house signature restaurant featuring handcrafted ales and high-quality pub favorites; and Expérience by ANBL.

Ace to Debut in Canada
Atelier Ace is planning its first Canadian property, Ace Hotel Toronto, slated to open fall 2020. Located in the heart of Toronto’s Fashion District and adjacent to St. Andrew’s Market and Playground, Ace Hotel Toronto is a complete new-build with architectural partner Shim-Sutcliffe Architects.

Ace Hotel Toronto is built in homage to the rich history of industrial buildings in a predominantly warehouse neighborhood, featuring red brick and exposed board-formed concrete left unadorned as a celebration of process, according to the hotel. The hotel’s public spaces will feature North American materials valued for their intrinsic strength and integrity, and tied to Toronto’s layered history and natural resources including Douglas fir, red Toronto brick and steel. Architectural elements like exposed joints, knuckles and brick will be a point of focus.

Ace Hotel Toronto is being developed in partnership with Zinc Developments and Alterra Group, and investors and partners ProWinko and Finer Space/B-Right Corporation.
