citizenM Miami South Beach debuts

citizenM has opened its third property in Miami: citizenM Miami South Beach.

Located near the retail and restaurants of Lincoln Road in Miami’s South Beach, the property features a rooftop infinity pool, locally sourced art and 24/7 food and drinks.

The debut of this property follows the openings of Miami Worldcenter  and Miami Brickell and is a part of an ambitious expansion plan in the U.S. and beyond, according to the company. Designed by citizenM’s long-standing partner concrete Amsterdam and local architecture firm Gensler, citizenM Miami South Beach joins the portfolio as the 36th hotel.

“Miami is a vibrant city full of artistry and we are thrilled to be back, opening the doors to our third hotel in the city,” said Robin Chadha, chief brand officer, CitizenM. “Following our warm welcome for citizenM Miami Brickell and Miami Worldcenter, we are excited to grow citizenM’s footprint in the city and become part of the iconic South Beach neighborhood. As a cultural hotspot, the busy streets of South Beach are bursting with the best fine-dining experiences, prime shopping, bustling nightlife and public art. With our curated selection of artwork, rooftop pool, and prime location, citizenM Miami South Beach will offer mobile citizens a great base to experience this incredible city.”

Within the property, guests will have access to amenities including the brand’s signature canteenM serving 24/7 snacks and drinks, a 24/7 gym, 2 societyM meeting rooms, rooftop infinity pool and hidden bar surrounded by greenery and a cozy outdoor second-floor terrace in addition to the captivating art on display throughout the hotel. Emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainability, the hotel has been constructed adhering to elevated environmental standards, encompassing energy efficiency, water conservation and waste reduction, and is working towards securing LEED Gold certification.

To reflect the community of South Beach, citizenM has commissioned eight original pieces of in-room art from LA-based visual artist Austin Call, Barbadian contemporary artist Akhila Watts, Florence-based artist and educator Robert Minverini and aLILscribble LLC CEO and artist Alannah Tiller. As a part of citizenM’s commitment to art and emerging artists, the commissions were facilitated through an open-call where citizenM curated an Art Basel Miami Beach 2023 experience for the artists providing access to an otherwise inaccessible moment in the international art community.
