Beechwood Hospitality and MMI Hotel Group have entered into a strategic alignment that brings the two hotel management companies together under a unified platform operating as Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company.
The combined organization will operate under MMI Hospitality Group, a private investment partnership founded in 1956 that has grown into a multi-division hospitality platform.
According to the companies, the alignment combines two owner-operator hospitality organizations with complementary expertise, creating an expanded hotel management platform with access to shared services across the broader MMI organization.
“This partnership reflects who we are at our core,” said Micajah Sturdivant, CEO, MMI Hospitality Group. “As a multi-generational family business, we have always believed that sustainable growth comes from surrounding ourselves with people who share our values. Bringing Beechwood and MMI together creates a stronger organization while preserving the culture, relationships and spirit of hospitality that have guided us for more than 70 years.”
Blair Allen, founding partner, Beechwood Hospitality, has been named president of Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company, and will lead the unified organization.
“This was one of those opportunities that felt obvious from the start,” said Allen. “MMI and Beechwood each bring distinct strengths to the table, but together we create something even stronger. As our industry continues to evolve, we recognize the importance of building scale, expanding our capabilities and positioning ourselves to remain competitive. I’m energized by the opportunity ahead and eager to begin the work of building this next chapter together.”
The unified company will maintain support centers in Jackson, MS, and Little Rock, AR. Its combined portfolio includes more than two dozen full-service, select-service and independent hotels and resorts, as well as private clubs and restaurants across the Sun Belt.
