AC Hotel opens in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter

AC Hotels has opened its first property in San Diego. From Marriott International, with Briad Hospitality, the new AC Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter’s eight-story structure features 147 rooms, a fitness center and the brand’s signature AC Kitchen and AC Lounge.

The project was built by Briad Construction Services, a division of Briad led by Chuck Pagnotta, SVP, construction and design. The design team preserved the historic facade on the 69,000-sq.-ft. building as part of the AC Hotel construction improvements.

Coming early summer, the hotel will offer Techo Beso, a rooftop bar and restaurant by Briad Hospitality. Techo Beso meaning “rooftop kiss” is inspired by the energy and culture of love found in Tulum, Mexico, according to Briad Hospitality.

Located 3.7 miles from San Diego International Airport, the hotel is less than a mile from Petco Park baseball stadium, Seaport Village and The New Children’s Museum.
