Four Branded Properties Open Across U.S.

NATIONAL REPORT—Brands such as Tru by Hilton, Extended Stay America, Hilton Garden Inn and Residence Inn by Marriott have opened new locations across the U.S.

Tru by Hilton Rockwall Dallas
The Tru by Hilton Rockwall Dallas in Rockwell, TX, recently opened. The property is co-owned by Bill Margaritis and McNeill Hotel Company, with the latter overseeing all management and operations of the new hotel.

The 98-room hotel is within walking distance to Lake Ray Hubbard, and the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Nearby attractions include a Bass Pro Shop, and the newly developed Harbor District of shops, restaurants and a movie theater.

The project was built on time and on budget by Weiss Builders, a construction and engineering company, founded in 1939. The building’s exterior facade is wrapped with indigenous stone from Texas, and offers partial views of the lake.

Extended Stay America Tampa Fairgrounds
The Extended Stay America Tampa Fairgrounds has opened in Tampa, FL. The four-story, 144-room property features complimentary WiFi, premium cable, a StayFit fitness room, StayClean laundry room and the signature StayPlay lobby.

The rooms include fully equipped kitchens with full-size refrigerators, stovetop, cookware, utensils and dishes, as well as pillowtop beds, recliners, workspace and television streaming capabilities.

The Extended Stay America Tampa Fairgrounds is located near the Tampa Fairgrounds and Seminole Hard Rock Casino, as well as the University of Tampa and the University of South Florida. The hotel is centrally located between both Tampa International Airport and Clearwater International Airport.

Hilton Garden Inn Flint Downtown
Crescent Hotels & Resorts has opened the Hilton Garden Inn Flint Downtown in Flint, MI.
The historic building underwent a transformation from Genesee County Savings Bank to the new property. The original Italian Renaissance Revival design of the banking hall and base of the tower was completed in 1920, and an Art Deco style was incorporated in 1947. The hotel retains much of the Art Deco detailing as well as the original marble wainscoting, base moldings and door casings.

The 11-story hotel includes an upscale Italian restaurant and a ground-floor coffee shop; more than 3,000 sq. ft. of event space—including five meeting rooms and banquet center; and rooftop lounge and deck. The historic Art Deco style continues throughout the entire building, including the guestroom furniture and artwork.

Residence Inn by Marriott Short Pump at the Notch
The Residence Inn Short Pump at the Notch in Richmond, VA. The property offers 130 rooms and suites which include deluxe bedding, workspaces and 55-in. smart TVs with streaming capabilities. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property.

The hotel is located less than 20 minutes from Downtown Richmond and 25 minutes from Richmond International Airport. Nearby attractions include Short Pump Town Center, the Cultural Arts Center of Glen Allen and the University of Richmond campus.
