Ten Five Hospitality launched

Providing turnkey lifestyle hospitality solutions to owners and developers of real estate, lifelong luxury hoteliers Dan Daley and Kim Walker have partnered to launch Ten Five Hospitality, a new type of integrated hospitality investment and management company.

From repositioning existing properties to developing and creating entirely new brands or assets, Ten Five’s solutions are informed by a track record of proven successes in lifestyle hospitality development, marketing and operational execution, according to the company. Combining more than 50 years of experience and supported by an executive team including Sebastian Puga, EVP, brand experience/partner, and Giancarlo Pagani, managing partner, food and beverage, Ten Five has expertise in development and investment; branding and repositioning; lifestyle hotel management; and restaurant, events and nightlife conception and execution.

Founded in 2021, Ten Five operates several luxury properties and is actively expanding in some of the world’s most competitive and visible markets including Miami; Los Angeles; Washington, DC; New York; and Las Vegas. The company most recently launched three projects in Los Angeles. In the heart of Hollywood, Ten Five opened two lifestyle hotels and a 30,000-sq.-ft. event space, together offering two rooftop lounges and three restaurants.

In Los Angeles, Ten Five recently opened Mother Wolf with L.A. Chef Evan Funke inside the historic Citizen News building, and KA’TEEN with Chef Wes Avila. The company is also preparing to open Mes Amis alongside Chef Lincoln Carson. In August 2021 Ten Five opened the Cote D’Azur inspired rooftop lounge, Bar Lis, while December saw the opening of the Pioneertown-inspired live music and rock n’ roll bar, Desert 5 Spot (shown above).

“Ten Five was born out of a desire to create a new type of hospitality company—one that specializes in all stages of the development and operational cycle, from creative ideation and execution of unique F&B concepts to hotel operations as well as marketing and programming,” said Daley, who serves as the company’s CEO. “The company’s purpose is to push boundaries in everything we do. In our hotels, restaurants and nightlife experiences, we want to redefine the hospitality industry. Our expertise focuses on a very specific type of project, often defined by significant food & beverage programs and public space activations.”

Cofounder Walker, the company’s chief marketing officer, added, “Ten Five’s capabilities go beyond the traditional hospitality group, offering a team of best-in-class creative experts skilled at concepting, developing and marketing venues with incredible design, authenticity, character and originality. We look to see where the market is headed, not where it is.”

Daley leads the company’s growth and execution strategy, in addition to overseeing the day to day performance of the company’s portfolio. He also serves as a partner in Los Angeles-based developer Relevant Group. His career began in food and beverage, working for companies such as Gerber Group and Tao Group, before moving into hotel operations with Dream Hotel Group and PUBLIC Hotels, and eventually development.

Walker oversees all aspects of brand development, marketing and communication efforts for the company’s portfolio of assets. She has more than 30 years of marketing experience, beginning her career at Morgans Hotel Group under Ian Schrager. There, she rose to the position of chief marketing officer, a position she held for more than 10 years. Following Morgans Hotel Group, she founded her own boutique creative agency, Sidework, which helped brands build and maintain cultural relevance, increase awareness and, ultimately, generate revenue and brand equity.

Puga is responsible for creating the company’s pioneering and innovative brands. Prior to joining Ten Five, he was the VP of brand experience for PUBLIC Hotel, where he helped develop and manage brand experiences, entertainment, nightlife programming, F&B positioning, social media and PR strategies. He was previously the director of brand marketing & entertainment for Morgans Hotel Group, The Standard Hotels and Sixty Hotels.

Pagani is responsible for the overall success of Ten Five’s restaurant and nightlife venues. Prior to joining the company, he held various leadership positions with sbe, SLS Hotels, Mina Group, Think Food Group and Related Group.
