Omni Hotel Opens in Oklahoma City; More U.S. Debuts

NATIONAL REPORT—Opening across the U.S. include an Omni hotel in Oklahoma City, three properties in Florida  and more.

Omni Oklahoma City Hotel
Omni Hotels & Resorts has opened Omni Oklahoma City Hotel, a 605-guestroom convention center hotel in the heart of Oklahoma City.

The 17-story property has 76,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting, event and pre-function space; 17th-floor rooms designed to cater specifically to professional basketball players featuring California King beds, larger door frames and taller ceilings and shower heads; seven F&B outlets; Mokara Spa; a fitness center; and a rooftop pool.

Glo by Best Western Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood Airport Hotel
Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened the Glo by Best Western Fort Lauderdale—Hollywood Airport Hotel in Hollywood, FL. The 133-room property is located minutes from the local airport and is near the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, Topeekeegee Yugnee Park, the Yellow Green Farmers Market and Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

Amenities include complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, sundry shop and a full-service business center. Guestrooms include in-room workstations, gel-topped signature mattresses and space-saving bathrooms.

Hyatt House Tampa Airport Westshore
Hyatt House Tampa Airport Westshore, the Tampa Bay area’s first extended-stay Hyatt House property, has opened. It is owned and managed by McKibbon Hospitality and marks the 87th hotel in the company’s overall management portfolio.

The six-floor hotel offers 145 rooms with separate spaces to work and relax, as well as full kitchens with ingredients available in the 24-hour market, as well as H Bar and 6,100 sq. ft. of meeting space. Amenities including free WiFi, complimentary grab-and-go breakfast, a 24/7 workout room and on-site laundry options.

Margaritaville Beach Hotel Jacksonville Beach
Global lifestyle and hospitality brand Margaritaville and Elite Hospitality have opened Margaritaville Beach Hotel Jacksonville Beach, an oceanfront hotel located a few blocks north of the Jacksonville Beach Pier. The property is the first Margaritaville destination to open in 2021.

The brand-new hotel, designed by McBride Design, has 202 rooms with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean or hotel grounds from private terraces and patios; three Margaritaville-inspired dining options with ocean view outdoor seating; a 1,050-sq.-ft. retail store; a pool and fire pit; and a 1,700-sq.-ft. meeting room.

Home2 Suites/Tru by Hilton Ogden
Hilton has opened the dual-branded Home2 Suites by Hilton Ogden and Tru by Hilton Ogden in Ogden, UT.

Located near Ogden Eccles Convention Center and Union Station on Historic 25th St., the property has a variety of shared amenities including a game-filled lobby with a pool table; 24-hour fitness centers; indoor saline pool and hot tub; and three outdoor patio areas with a firepit and grills.

The four-story property, developed and owned by Garn Development and managed by Western States Lodging Management, offers 155 rooms: 83 Tru by Hilton guestrooms and 72 Home2 Suites suite rooms.

Radisson Blu Fargo
Radisson Blu Fargo has opened in downtown Fargo, ND. The opening comes amid a period of impressive growth for the Radisson Blu brand, which has expanded its footprint with several hotels throughout the Americas in recent months. These openings include Radisson Blu Resort and Residence Punta Cana, Radisson Blu Anaheim and Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown. Additionally, Radisson Blu Aruba is set to open in the first quarter of this year.

Originally a Radisson, the hotel underwent an $11-million renovation including full remodels of the hotel’s 151 guestrooms, modernizing spaces with open floor plans, along with incorporating locally inspired design elements. Amenities include a fitness center, which doubled in size as part of the renovation; several F&B outlets; 5,000 sq. ft. of event space spread across seven different meeting rooms; and free WiFi.

DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock University Area
Aimbridge Hospitality has opened and is managing the newly built, 140-room DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock University Area.

Located one mile from Texas Tech University and within three miles of the UMC Health System Hospital, the property has 140 guestrooms; more than 3,800 sq. ft. of meeting and event space with a pillar-free ballroom and outdoor veranda; and Claraboya Scratch Kitchen restaurant and bar. Other amenities include a pool, fitness center, business center and free WiFi.
