MAA appoints Leinback to new role

Merriman Anderson Architects (MAA) has appointed Mike Leinback, AIA, to a new position within the firm as director of process management and improvement. A 40-year architecture career gives Leinback a unique perspective on the advances and changes in technology, procedures and processes that define the backbone of an active firm’s workflow, according to MAA.

Leinback’s mission is to strategize with the MAA team to develop best practices at every level of its architectural and design product delivery. His multifaceted experience allows for insight into the overall process, especially as related to production and management of construction documents and construction administration. MAA projects often entail both exterior and interior architecture, space planning, interior design, graphic design, 3D visualization and more.

“Anyone who has been involved in the practice of architecture over the past several decades is aware of the remarkable advancements in every aspect of the business,” said Milton Anderson, president, MAA. “By overseeing the myriad processes within a multi-disciplinary firm such as MAA, Mike can help us develop solid creative solutions that serve all.”

Leinback’s architectural career includes time at his own boutique firm where he produced and managed a wide array of project types including educational, religious, retail, financial and large-scale industrial projects. Leinback’s past experience at different architecture firms has helped him identify areas for improvement and will help MAA facilitate refined processes and seamless execution of projects.

“I look forward to helping the firm continue to streamline successful operations and processes based on the knowledge I’ve gained from my 40-year career in the architecture and design industry,” said Leinback.
