The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has hired Jessica Brady as VP, federal affairs for tax policy.
She joins AHLA from the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. (DISCUS), where she worked on tax, trade and other issues as senior director of federal government relations. Prior to DISCUS, she led budget and appropriations advocacy as associate director of global development policy and advocacy at Save the Children and worked on congressional affairs and multilateral diplomacy at the State Department as part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief program.
“Jessica’s prolific tax expertise and deep understanding of the federal policymaking process will benefit our members as we engage on a wide range of vital tax issues in 2024 and beyond,” said Chip Rogers, president/CEO, AHLA. “This hire will help AHLA continue to do what it does best: achieve policy victories on behalf of hoteliers.”
Brady joins a growing AHLA team that has played an increasingly critical role on behalf of the hotel industry. Since 2021, the AHLA and AHLA Foundation teams have nearly doubled in size, growing to 85 combined employees, as AHLA continues to serve as the singular voice of America’s hotels and remains deeply engaged in policy issues affecting hoteliers at all levels of government.
