New CEO at Pathfinder; more people on the move

Pathfinder Hospitality has promoted Danielle Schneider to CEO, while Pacifica Hotels and First Hospitality have filled leadership positions.

Pathfinder Hospitality, a third party and owner/operator management company headquartered in Austin, has promoted Danielle Schneider (pictured above) to CEO.

She has been with Pathfinder since June 2013 and has been an invaluable part of its growth and culture, the company reports. With more than 20 years of experience, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership in organizations as a whole and in the development of future leaders.

“I’ve been with Pathfinder for nine years and trusting me to be their leader isn’t something I take lightly,” said Schneider. “This change means that I will be able to focus not only on company growth, but the growth of all our team members across our regions. I am looking forward to enhancing our culture and core values and setting the teams up for success as we scale. Pedlow named COO at Pacifica Hotels
Pacifica Hotels, the largest owner and operator of independent, design-inspired hotels on the Pacific Coast, has appointed of John Pedlow as COO.

He brings more than 25 years of operations and revenue experience to the Pacifica Hotels team, with his most recent role as SVP, operations for the company. Prior to that, he served as VP, revenue, responsible for development and execution of commercial strategy, including the oversight of all revenue, marketing and sales efforts. Today, he oversees all day-to-day operations and works closely with corporate regional team members to support the growing and diverse Pacifica Hotels portfolio.

“John’s new role provides us with a new leadership perspective and unique talents that will continue to evolve Pacifica Hotels,” said Matt Marquis, CEO, Pacifica Hotels. “The next few years we will see robust growth within our portfolio, and I am more confident than ever in the evolution of our team and our company with John at the helm.”

First Hospitality adds Suzanne Saunders to SVP, construction
First Hospitality, a national hotel operations and development company, has appointed Suzanne Saunders to SVP, construction.

“Suzanne’s breadth of industry knowledge, strong leadership skills and deep relationships in the construction and project management space will be vital in supporting the growth of First Hospitality’s development projects,” said David Duncan, president/CEO, First Hospitality. “We could not be more excited to have someone as diligent and experienced as Suzanne, who will oversee all phases of the development and project management processes for First Hospitality.”

In her new role, Saunders is responsible for the leading and oversight of construction teams in all aspects of development activity. She will also manage budgets, logistics and financial analytics for construction tasks, all while cultivating the goals and mission of every individual project at First Hospitality.

Prior to joining First Hospitality, Saunders spent more than four years working for Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), serving as VP, design and construction, leading the execution of many renovations and development projects. She has also worked for Hyatt in a variety of roles, including VP, design services for the Americas, where she supported the launch of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House select-service brands.

Additionally, she has a background in corporate real estate and development management roles, as well as manufacturing and logistics planning experience with LTV Aerospace/Northrup Grumman as an industrial engineer where she supported the design and manufacturing of the B-2 Stealth Bomber Program.
