White Lodging, Davidson, Crescent Make Management Deals

NATIONAL REPORT—A historic campus hotel, a destination in Nashville, TN, and a hotel debut in Las Vegas are all some of the properties making management news. Here’s a look at the deals from White Lodging, Davidson Hotels & Resorts and Crescent Hotels & Resorts:

Purdue Selects White Lodging to Operate Union Club Hotel
Purdue University has selected White Lodging to operate the Union Club Hotel on its West Lafayette, IN campus, which is currently undergoing a complete renovation. The hotel has not been significantly renovated in more than four decades. The plans include an update to the lobby, all 182 guestrooms, as well as public spaces and ballrooms. The historic and architectural significance of the building’s facade will not be affected.

A key part of White Lodging’s role will be to create a hands-on learning laboratory for students enrolled in Purdue’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program. Purdue students will fill virtually all roles at the hotel, including the new restaurant and bar. White Lodging has a history of hiring graduates of the Purdue system and supporting its academic programs, including the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and White Lodging Professional Sales Lab at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, IN.

Davidson Hotels & Resorts to Manage Margaritaville Hotel Nashville
Safe Harbor Development has selected Atlanta-based hospitality management group, Davidson Hotels & Resorts, to operate Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, a 217-room property. The 12-story hotel is situated in the city’s South of Broadway (SoBro) neighborhood, close to the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center, Honky Tonk Highway, among others. The hotel has more than 10,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space; a rooftop deck with a pool, fire pits and live entertainment; a 24-hour fitness center and two new Margaritaville dining concepts, JWB Grill and Fins Bar.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts to Manage Las Vegas’ First Delta Hotel
Las Vegas’ first Delta Hotel by Marriott will be managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The hotel is expected to open at the end of 2021. The 24-floor hotel will offer tourists and convention guests a full-service, functional experience through approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and approximately 1,600 sq. ft. of retail space, along with amenities such as a rooftop pool, fitness center, covered parking, lobby dining bar and coffee bar.
