Verge Management LLC has appointed David Gould as its new CEO. He will oversee the company’s current portfolio of 15 hotels while laying the foundation for an internal management company.
The company, based in Houston, owns a collection of hotels currently operated by third-party management companies. The portfolio includes Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt-branded properties with both full-service and focused-service hotels. In his new role, He will be responsible for asset management, ensuring operational excellence across the portfolio and spearheading the development of Verge’s own internal hotel management platform.
Gould brings extensive experience to this position. At Moody National Companies, he oversaw a portfolio of 70 hotels while managing relationships with 10 different third-party management companies. He later established Moody National Hospitality Management, securing brand approvals from Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Choice and Hyatt, and transitioning the company to in-house management. Most recently, as president, operations at Superhost Hospitality, he led the company’s expansion and operational transformation.
