NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is following the latest happenings in the vacation ownership segment. Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV), RCI and Interval International are making moves. Here are the details:

Hilton Grand Vacations Expands Urban Footprint with Fifth New York City Property
Hilton Grand Vacations has revealed its fifth New York City property, The Central at 5th by Hilton Club. Hidrock Properties developed the ground-up, 34-story project exclusively for HGV.

HGV will acquire the property in two phases consisting of a total of 161 studio and one-bedroom units. The resort is anticipated to open in spring of 2020. Sales began in March 2019.

Paul Mulcahy Appointed Managing Director for RCI in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
RCI has appointed Paul Mulcahy as managing director for RCI operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Mulcahy most recently served as SVP at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, where he was a member of the executive committee. He led the hospitality firm’s commercial and digital transformation, driving promotional activities that enhanced customer experience, loyalty and satisfaction. Prior to Mövenpick, he led distribution for the tourism services brand Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs Group through direct web business, CRM and call centers. Mulcahy has served in leadership roles for global online travel company Orbitz.com, and he was also the e-commerce director at InterContinental Hotels Group.

Interval International and Simone Group Sign Exclusive Affiliation Agreement for Blanco Hotel 
Interval International has added the shared ownership component of Blanco Hotel in Italy to its vacation exchange network. The resort is located in Castellaneta Marina, high in the heel of Italy’s boot, in the region of Puglia. This is the first timeshare development by the Simone Group.
