Vacasa Appoints Interim CEO; More Personnel Moves

Vacasa Appoints Matt Roberts as Interim CEO

Vacasa has appointed Matt Roberts, former OpenTable CEO and independent Vacasa board director, as interim CEO. This appointment follows founder Eric Breon’s decision to initiate a search for a CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth. Breon will remain on Vacasa’s board of directors and continue to guide the company’s vision and strategy. Vacasa has engaged Russell Reynolds Associates, an executive search firm, to assist the company with finding a long-term CEO.

Peachtree Hotel Group and Stonehill Promote Brent LeBlanc to EVP of Business Development

Peachtree Hotel Group (PHG) and its lending platform, Stonehill, have promoted Brent LeBlanc to EVP of business development. Prior to joining Peachtree in 2012, LeBlanc was VP of development for the former Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he was responsible for the launch of Aloft by W Hotels and Element by Westin. While there he drove growth within the Westin, Sheraton, Luxury Collection, Le Méridien and Four Points brands across a 20-state area. He also held similar positions with La Quinta Corporation and U.S. Franchise Systems Inc.

Donohoe Hospitality Services Promotes Two Leaders

Donohoe Hospitality Services, a division of Donohoe, has appointed two new senior leadership positions. Neeta Mayur was promoted to corporate director of regional marketing and Seon Heo was appointed regional director of sales & marketing. Both positions will report directly to Leticia Proctor, SVP of Donohoe Hospitality Services.

Mayur brings more than 20 years of hospitality management experience. She joined Donohoe Hospitality Services in 2009 and last served as the revenue manager for the Holiday Inn Washington, DC/Capitol Hill. Her breadth of experience spans front office operations, reservations, sales & marketing as well as revenue management.

Heo joins Donohoe hospitality Services from PM Hotel Group where she was regional VP of sales & marketing overseeing 17 hotels. Heo brings more than 15 years of hospitality industry management experience having also held several leadership positions with Hersha Hospitality.

European Marriott Franchise Systems Advisory Council Names Inaugural Member

Shaner Hotels has revealed that its president, Plato Ghinos, has been appointed an inaugural member of the European Marriott Franchise Systems Advisory Council. Members of the newly created group will meet periodically with the top management of Marriott International Inc. and its subsidiaries to review plans and programs. Also, the new group will examine other matters of common interest related to the various systems for operating franchised hotels located in Europe under brands licensed by Marriott. The council’s purpose is to promote constructive, open and two-way communications between the Marriott Systems franchisees and Marriott management to develop better mutual understanding.
