The U.S. hotel industry reported negative year-over-year (YOY) comparisons for the week ending Feb. 8, according to CoStar data.
Feb. 2-8 (percentage change from comparable week in 2024):
Occupancy: 55.9% (-0.5%)
ADR: $156.03 (-2.2%)
RevPAR: $87.22 (-2.7%)
Among the top 25 markets, New Orleans reported the largest increases in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (+13.6% to 74.2%), ADR (+107.1% to $485.52) and RevPAR (+135.2% to $360.46). The market’s performance was due to Super Bowl LIX.
Las Vegas, host of Super Bowl LVIII during the comparable week in 2024, saw the steepest performance declines: occupancy (-16.8% to 63.9%), ADR (-54.9% to $183.20) and RevPAR (-62.5% to $117.10).
