New Boutique Property Set for San Diego
Alvin Mansour’s Oram Hotels and Azul Hospitality Group will usher in a new era of curated luxury hospitality to the San Diego landscape with the early 2019 debut of The Guild, a 162-room Marriott Tribute Portfolio property.
The Guild, housed inside the historic Army-Navy landmark building, will be reimagined through San Diego native Mansour’s attention to detail, design and hands-on management. The Guild is a creative, design-forward destination that will pay homage to the property’s history and its deep San Diego roots while simultaneously bringing forth a fresh, inspired take on contemporary hospitality unlike anything else in the city.
Choice Hotels to Develop New Cambria in Monterey, CA
Choice Hotels International Inc. has finalized an agreement with Jayesh Kumar of S3D Partners to develop a Cambria hotel in Seaside near Monterey Bay, CA. Located at Lightfighter Dr. and Second Ave., the five-story, 138-room upscale hotel is slated to open in 2021.
The hotel will offer waterfront views and is part of the developing Main Gate area in the City of Seaside, which offers 60 acres of coastal land and will offer dining, shopping and entertainment.
Viejas Casino & Resort Completes Seven-Year Expansion Project
In San Diego, the Viejas Casino & Resort has completed its seven-year renovation and expansion. Since initiating the project in 2011, the popular destination has constructed three hotel towers, redesigned the entire property, and launched a new and extensive center bar and high-limit gaming area. The project completion follows closely behind the opening of Viejas Casino & Resort’s recently developed adult-only destination, Willows Hotel & Spa.
