British photo-artist Michael Banks continues to bring his talent to today’s modern art scene. His photographic artwork evolves with the debut of “Spiro” and “Spiro on White,” adding to his Pure Abstract Image Collection.
“I was in a vintage shop recently, and found an old Spirograph game… I loved creating designs with these as a kid,
and the results seemed quite magical,” Banks told InspireDesign. “Those plastic patterns were actually invented by a British engineer, Denys Fisher, in the mid 1960s, and inspired me to want to make a modern, digital version now, using my own abstract photographs as the base.”
