Peachtree Hotel Group promotes Leaf
Peachtree Hotel Group has promoted Brian Leaf to VP/head of internal sales for its broker-dealer affiliate.
Since joining the company in 2017, he has been instrumental in establishing Peachtree’s brand in the independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor channels, having helped secure more than $500 million in equity funding. In his expanded role, he will continue to identify opportunities and broaden funding sources with financial advisors with a focus on assuming a greater leadership role in guiding the strategy and direction of the internal sales team.

Danika Smith-Josiah promoted at Scarlett Hotel Group
Scarlett Hotel Group (SHG) has promoted Danika Smith-Josiah to regional VP of operations.
After starting at SHG four years ago, her leadership skills demonstrate the skill set required to move into an executive position, the company reports. This role will provide support, training and guidance to hotel general managers nationwide in SHG’s growing hospitality portfolio.
In her new role, Smith-Josiah will lead the hotel managers of SHG’s portfolio of hotels, providing guidance and direction in all areas including property maintenance, asset protection, guest service, sales, accounting and budgeting.
Smith-Josiah has a successful background in hospitality leadership. After working at InterContinental Hotels Group as a corporate trainer and general manager for nearly 10 years, Smith-Josiah made the move to SHG in 2018. She began as a general manager of one of SHG’s properties in Sarasota, FL, and soon was promoted to director of learning and development, where she spearheaded a variety of development programs for SHG leaders to ultimately help the company increase profit and revenue, market share, client retention rates and employee satisfaction ratings.
Eric May appointed Lodging Dynamics VP of finance
Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group has appointed hotel industry veteran Eric May as its VP of finance.
He brings 30 years of hospitality experience in operations, finance and accounting. His background includes providing financial and accounting leadership for portfolios of diverse recreational and destination assets, including wineries, condominiums, marinas, golf courses, full-service resorts and hotels.
“Eric brings rich experience developing, managing and transitioning finance and accounting systems in the hospitality industry,” Jamie Caraher, president/CEO, Lodging Dynamics. “The unique knowledge and leadership he brings are key to enhancing our accounting services. In addition to his financial, accounting, and business acumen, May brings operating experience, which gives unique insight when integrating accounting systems for third-party management excellence. In his most recent role, he directed the transition to a new accounting system for a portfolio of luxury resorts and wineries.
