People on the move at Concord, Andronis and El Grupo SN

Concord Hospitality has made a promotion, while Andronis Hotels and El Grupo SN have made new appointments.

Concord Hospitality promotes Hu
Concord Hospitality Enterprises has promoted Ting Hu to VP, business applications. In her newly appointed role, Hu is responsible for overseeing business intelligence and dashboard tools, as well as budgeting and forecasting for all of Concord’s 140 properties. She will continue working closely with hotel general managers and Concord’s regional VPs to identify the right tools for both internal and external operations.

With a variety of experience of under her belt, she joined Concord in 2012 and has since played a significant role in advancing the hotel management company’s business applications. As senior director of business applications, she designed training modules for new associates, budget and forecast models to maximize efficiency and accuracy for all users, and complex financial models for pro-formas. Hu also migrated the financial model to a cloud-based software and driver-based model. Since joining Concord, she has led cross-team programs with internal teams and external vendors and driven complex multi-stakeholder planning processes.

Andronis Hotels adds Sage
Andronis Hotels has named Carla Sage director, spa and wellness. She will be tasked with elevating and further enhancing many aspects of guest well-being across the brand. Having worked in more than 18 countries coupled with 25 years of experience, she has developed a rich appreciation and an unparalleled depth of knowledge of the industry, according to the company.

Prior to joining Andronis, she was director, spa training, Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas; director, education, Dermalogica; and spa director, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo. Her international experience also includes overseeing the launch of the spa in the first Park Hyatt in Beijing, as well as a posting to the British West Indies Malliouhana Auberge Resort.

El Grupo SN appoints new director of events and sales
El Grupo SN has appointed Genesis Nunez as the company’s director, events and sales. In her new role, she is responsible for leading new business for corporate and leisure clients, executing all event needs for her clients.

Bringing years of event planning experience, Nunez most recently held the position of director, private events for Gantry Hospitality, where she established an event program for both Maiella and American Brass, specifically catering to their cuisine style, clientele and potential for financial growth. Prior to her time at Gantry Hospitality, Nunez served as senior event manager for Midtown Loft & Terrace in New York. Her experience also includes holding the position of events coordinator for Celtic Developers Group, where she maintained and fortified a working relationship with clients, managed staff in high volume settings, as well as produced, managed and oversaw events, including day of problem-solving, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, organizing vendors and managing event take-down.
