Lowe and its management arm, CoralTree Hospitality, have a new SVP, while Crestline has promoted two executive team members and Marcus Hotels & Resorts has added a new VP, food & beverage.

Terri A. Haack named SVP of Lowe and CoralTree Hospitality
National real estate investment, management and development firm Lowe has named Terri A. Haack SVP, Lowe and CoralTree Hospitality. Haack (pictured above), a 20-year veteran of the firm and a member of its shareholder group, will continue to play an integral role in the senior leadership of Lowe and its operating company, CoralTree Hospitality, as she works with the firm’s hospitality teams on their new ventures around the country, according to Lowe.

For the last 15 years, she has served as president of Terranea Resort, a 102-acre Southern California coastal resort developed and co-owned by Lowe and managed by CoralTree Hospitality. She is currently a board member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), was the first woman to receive its “Resort Executive of the Year” award, was recognized with AHLA’s 2020 Stars of the Industry “Paving the Way” Award and with its national award for General Manager of the Year.

With a career spanning more than 40 years in hotel and resort operations management, prior to Terranea, Haack was EVP/managing director at Lowe’s Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, SC. Prior to joining the company, she was EVP/managing director, Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.

Crestline promotes two executives
Crestline Hotels & Resorts LLC has promoted two members of its executive team. Deanne Johnson-Anderson assumes the role of SVP, human resources, and Kyle Hamill was promoted to SVP, sales & marketing.

Johnson-Anderson joined Crestline in 2004. She is responsible for the oversight of all human capital concerns for the company including benefits & compensation; legal compliance; training and development; performance management; labor relations; and employee relations. She is certified in various human resource programs including diversity, behavioral assessments and team dynamics, and is PHR and SHRM-CP certified. Prior to joining Crestline, she worked with Starwood Hotels overseeing the human resource efforts for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Hamill joined Crestline in 2018. He is responsible for the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to generate revenue for each of Crestline Hotels & Resorts’ managed hotels. He previously served as VP, sales & marketing, Urgo Hotels & Resorts and held a variety of sales leadership positions with Marriot- branded hotels during his 13-year tenure with the company. He currently participates on Marriott’s franchise sales & marketing advisory board.

Chris Schaefer joins Marcus as VP, F&B
Marcus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Chris Schaefer as VP, food and beverage. In his new role, he oversees catering, banquets and more than 40 signature restaurants, bars and lounges across Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ 17 properties. He is also responsible for strategic planning; restaurant design and concepting; and talent development throughout the company’s food and beverage portfolio.

With more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Schaefer most recently served as corporate director of food and beverage at Noble House Hotels & Resorts, a Seattle-based hotel ownership and management group. In this role, he was responsible for all food and beverage operations for the company’s 20 properties. Prior to this position, he served as food and beverage director of Noble House Hotels & Resorts’ Palm Springs, CA, property. Throughout his career, Schaefer has led the openings of multiple restaurants and served as a consultant or manager of existing restaurants.
