Stanziale spent more than 20 years leading successful marketing, sales and software organizations, including four years at IDeaS as VP/global sales. His new role will be key in expanding the company’s growth into new commercial business functions that include innovations beyond room revenue management as well as oversight of the company’s global sales organization.

He will lead the solution engineering and sales leadership teams with an eye on propelling global sales growth while ensuring a positive impact on client business outcomes, and will engage in the innovation of new go-to-market strategies and product offerings as well as strategic relationships to amplify the company’s growth.

“I am truly excited to welcome Russ back to the team,” said Ravi Mehrotra, cofounder/president, IDeaS. “His genuine warmth, approachable and fun-loving nature, as well as his focus on people—mentoring, guiding and supporting them—are qualities we value in our leadership team. He is a person of great integrity, and we look forward to tapping into his experience as we move into the next decade of our success.”

Mumford Company reports strong first half
Mumford Company, a full-service hospitality brokerage advisory firm since 1978, has completed a flurry of deals to close a busy first half of this year. In the last few weeks, the firms closed several deals representing a broad range of property types from the Marriott, Hilton and IHG brands throughout the U.S.

“With rising interest rates, inflation and general economic concerns, we were able to help our clients successfully exit their properties,” said Steve Kirby, managing principal, Mumford Company. “We anticipate general market conditions remaining in flux throughout the remainder of 2022 and are positioned to help buyers and sellers manage their portfolios.”

“Our local knowledge and extensive relationships in our markets have helped Mumford Company secure appropriate buyers for our clients,” said Ed James, managing principal, Mumford Company. “There is still a lot of capital sitting on the sidelines waiting for deal flow, and we are bullish on the remainder of 2022 and 2023.”

ASSA ABLOY, HID Global named winners of 2022 Innovation Awards
ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions and HID Global have been named winners of this year’s NFC Forum Innovation Awards. Out of 12 finalists representing several of the world’s most innovative NFC-based solutions, both companies were ultimately selected due to their advances in providing identity solutions capable of supporting digital credentials in Apple Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch.

We look forward providing additional customers with access to this innovative technology as they seek to run competitive businesses able to keep pace with ongoing shifts in service digitalization.”

For hotels, room key in Apple Wallet is currently made available via the cloud-based solution, Vostio Access Management by ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. Featuring continuous high-level security with the use of regular automatic software updates, Vostio Access Management provides the digital key information that is securely delivered to guest devices. Room keys in Apple Wallet are compatible with VingCard door locks by ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.
