Spectrum Enterprise introduces new hospitality solution
Spectrum Enterprise, a part of Charter Communications Inc., has introduced Unified Communications (UC) for Hospitality, a comprehensive cloud-hosted platform that makes it easier for hoteliers to manage their voice services, customize the guest experience and improve efficiencies.

UC for Hospitality provides hotel staff the flexibility to work and collaborate from multiple devices or locations with voice services that include instant messaging, video conferencing, content sharing, meeting capabilities and a mobile app. Phone greetings and wake-up calls can be tailored by room, and voicemail prompts can be in the guest’s preferred language. An easy-to-use online portal allows management to track housekeeping statuses, minibar inventories and guests’ in-room phone charges. UC for Hospitality can also integrate with an existing property management system (PMS) for additional operational efficiency, guest engagement and promotion of amenities and events.

UC for Hospitality is easy for hotels to implement and for employees to use as Spectrum Enterprise manages the solution from end-to-end, including networking, devices, implementation assistance, employee training, maintenance and updates with around-the-clock support.

ProfitSword to release major enhancements to platform at HITEC
ProfitSword, a developer of advanced business intelligence and data integration software for the hospitality industry featuring 235+ integrations, is set to demonstrate major upgrades to its platform at HITEC 2022 in Orlando. The latest release includes a newly enhanced user interface featuring more versatile dashboards and functionality, as well as security enhancements that enable multi-factor authentication. The team will also be demonstrating its streamlined Document Management and Workflows for night auditors. These combined feature upgrades are designed to provide hoteliers with even more robust, secure and easy-to-use tools for effectively minimizing costs and optimizing property performance.

The new ProfitSword user experience being introduced at HITEC includes improved navigation and ease-of-use with browser-back functionality and more versatile dashboards, as well as powerful new filtering options that add the ability to sort ascending or descending data on each column, hide or show and adjust column widths directly within the platform. These advanced filtering options will allow users to create custom views on the fly such as a grouping of their top 10 or bottom 10 performers and to create customized comparisons for internal benchmark reporting without having to export their data to create adhoc reports.

In addition to the improved user interface, ProfitSword has also implemented advanced security features, including the ability to employ multi-factor authentication (2FA/MFA). Featuring cloud-first, server-less architecture to simplify hosting, improve security/scalability and reduce risks to common vulnerabilities such as zero-day exploits or ransomware attacks, the platform leverages Microsoft Azure world-class security and infrastructure to further protect against attempted exploits and attacks. With these new security protocols now in place, ProfitSword’s resources alleviate the need to host your own hardware, software and data, to manage access through firewalls or other technology and to maintain internal controls, while reducing risk and improving scalability.

Beekeeper honored for deployment at Resorts World Las Vegas
Beekeeper, the mobile workforce collaboration platform designed specifically for frontline workers, was named “Best Employee App” via the Ragan Employee Communications Awards. The company received this honor following its deployment at Resorts World Las Vegas, the first integrated resort to be built on the Las Vegas Strip in more than a decade.

“For some properties, in-person meetings in the break room and paper notices posted on bulletin boards are sufficient methods for communicating tasks,” said Andrada Paraschiv, VP, hospitality, Beekeeper. “For Resorts World Las Vegas, however, we knew we needed to deliver something more robust. They were searching for a communication infrastructure that could be woven into the design of their operation from the beginning. What they found was Beekeeper.”

At Resorts World Las Vegas, it takes a team of more than 5,000 people to service its 3,500+ guestrooms and suites, gaming floor, food and beverage options, 5,000-capacity theater, nightlife venues, curated retail collection of designer and boutique shops and more. Today, 99% of those employees are active on the dedicated Beekeeper platform, accessing information curated for their specific roles.
