The Leading Hotels of the World selects Duetto
Duetto has been selected as a preferred revenue management system (RMS) provider for The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). LHW has more than 400 member hotels in more than 80 destinations.

Earlier this year LHW announced its preferred property management systems (PMS), including Mews and protel, both of which integrate with Duetto. Following this, LHW identified preferred RMS providers. Duetto, the first and only cloud-native RMS, was chosen for its advanced technology architecture, extensive integrations and flexible solutions.

The Duetto Revenue Strategy Platform, which includes the GameChanger application for pricing, ScoreBoard for intelligent reporting and BlockBuster for contracted-business optimization, provides built-in customization and controlled automation to enable hotels to tailor solutions to meet their individual needs. Already, nearly 20 hotels in LHW have their revenue powered by Duetto, including Baur au Lac in Zurich.

Lake Nona Wave Hotel guestrooms feature SONIFI streaming solutions
The new Lake Nona Wave Hotel in Orlando has included interactive solutions from SONIFI in each of the 234 guestrooms.

Wave Hotel uses SONIFI’s interactive TV solution to let guests know about the technology and services available in their room, and to promote amenities available on property, including restaurants, bars, a pool deck with cabanas and its Living Room lobby.

The SONIFI system further elevates the guest’s in-room experience with access to entertainment like on-demand movies and videos, TV programming and 2,000+ apps through SONIFI’s streaming solution, STAYCAST. Additional interactive features for guest requests, in-room dining and group services are being added to the system as well.

IDeaS reveals Innovator Scholarship winners
IDeaS, a SAS company, has revealed the winners of the Fabian Specht Future Revenue Innovator Scholarship. The scholarships have been awarded to two international EHL students pursuing a hospitality management education, Léa Ebzant and Arina Syrdybayeva.

In addition to her studies, Ebzant works and has two contracts as a student ambassador and student assistant at EHL in food and beverage, banqueting and others. She also works in temporary jobs for hotels such as Beau Rivage, Lausanne Palace and smaller restaurants.

Syrdybayeva currently has two part-time jobs, one as a business development intern, working remotely in Hilton Astana, and as a marketing assistant for a security company. She is also an EHL Alliance ambassador in the revenue management company HotelPartners.

The scholarship was created in memory of EMEA-area VP of IDeaS Fabian Specht, who passed away unexpectedly in December 2019. Specht was a returning lecturer at EHL, seeking to educate and inspire the next generation of hospitality revenue leaders. The Fabian Specht Future Revenue Innovator Scholarship honors Specht’s memory and legacy of lifelong service to the hospitality industry.
