Mark Kelly returns to Maestro PMS in new role
Maestro has appointed Mark Kelly to the new role of senior solutions consultant. A Maestro veteran for 23 years, he previously served as senior product strategist. With extensive experience as a senior sales engineer, he had been a key contributor to the development of Maestro during his tenure.
Following a brief two-year post with another PMS vendor, Kelly returns to Maestro to help drive business development, collaborate on new products, reconnect with customers and prospects and re-emerge as one of the company’s trusted advisors.
As senior solutions consultant, Kelly will be instrumental in building and maintaining rapport with prospective Maestro customers throughout the entire sales process. He will closely monitor the installation process and work alongside the Maestro teams to support customer satisfaction and longevity.
Agilysys appoints Ellis Connolly as its new VP of sales
Agilysys Inc. has named Ellis Connolly as its new VP of sales with a focus on hotel, resort and cruise development. Agilysys specifically chose Connolly to lead the continued growth and expansion in these markets due to his substantial business development success with technology companies focused on the global hospitality industry.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as general manager—sales account management for Sabre Corporation. Prior to his time at Sabre, he served in senior leadership roles with Zingle (acquired by Medallia), The Rainmaker Group (acquired by Cendyn), TrustYou, Cvent and Aramark.
Aside from his focus on business development and his extensive experience working with global SaaS technologies, Connolly has a keen eye for talent recruitment, and a gift for strategic analysis and planning, according to the company. His new role will focus on the continued growth of the hotel, resort and cruise ship business for Agilysys.
ProfitSword releases new solutions bundle for the hospitality industry

Amadeus releases new HotSOS experience
Amadeus has launched a new experience for its service optimization solution, HotSOS. The new interface displays an overview of hotel performance, making it easier for hoteliers to analyze key reporting and data points with dynamic operational dashboards, labor output metrics and guest amenity request features.
The redesign makes it easier for teams to prioritize service orders, from housekeeping to maintenance, in one place. The HotSOS solution provides hoteliers with the critical data specific to their hotel operation and guest profiles, so that they can easily identify areas for improvement and ensure a memorable guest experience.
Cloudbeds Horizon launches to upskill students in cloud technology
Cloudbeds has launched Cloudbeds Horizon, a new educational partners program designed to empower hospitality’s future leaders with modern technology skills and innovation. Cloudbeds Horizon launches following a successful pilot program with EHL hospitality management school.
Cloudbeds Horizon partners with hospitality schools and universities worldwide to provide access to its innovative cloud software, knowledge base and on-demand educational materials to help upskill students in modern cloud software and technology.
For the EHL pilot, Cloudbeds partnered with the university’s hospitality technology class to develop a weeklong curriculum for students to gain experience managing test properties through the Cloudbeds hospitality platform. More than 300 students who follow EHL’s Bachelor in International Hospitality Management have participated in the class thus far.
