CKI Toppers Used at New TWA Hotel

The new TWA Hotel at JFK Airport will include CKI’s Eco Cloud Mattress Topper on every bed.

Steven Gordon, CKI’s president, said, “We were selected for this project by the world-famous design team at the Parker Company, and we couldn’t be happier to be able to give the guests of the TWA a sleep experience like no other.”

Each Eco Cloud Topper is filled with unique polyester cluster fibers to provide an extraordinary level of comfort, support and resiliency that lasts for years and will not move or lose its shape over time, according to the company. Featuring an environmentally friendly knit top made from a blended bamboo fiber, the Eco Cloud provides a supple softness and is naturally thermal regulating. It is also resistant to bacteria, fungi, odors and germs.

Angie Hospitality Achieves International Certifications

Angie Hospitality has received multiple authorizations and international certifications to operate in virtually every hospitality market around the globe. Combined with its original North American certifications for the U.S. and Canada, Angie is ready for additional regions that include the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East.

Angie Hospitality’s interactive guestroom assistant meets the health, safety and environmental protection standards established by internationally recognized product testing and regulatory bodies, including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Industry Canada (IC), Conformité Européene (CE) and Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL), along with many others. Angie has been rigorously tested to ensure that its radio and electrical emissions do not interfere with other devices within the same environment in accordance with the stringent FCC Class B standard. This certification ensures that the device’s Zigbee, WiFi and BLE capabilities all meet the more demanding FCC standard. While not compulsory, Angie’s AC adaptor is UL-listed and meets the safety standards required in most workplace settings. Angie Hospitality has produced a Declaration of Conformity affirming that its 24-hour interactive guestroom assistant complies with the requirements for global markets that recognize the CE regulatory standard.

Hotel Equities Opens Office in Canada

Hotel Equities (HE) recently opened a Canadian office located in Edmonton, Alberta.

The new location encompasses all disciplines to support the company’s growth in the country. Hospitality Companies Named Best for Vets

Several hospitality companies have been recognized on the Military Times‘ Best for Vets: Employers 2019 List. Companies are recognized for their culture, recruitment and policies for veterans, service members and military families by Military Times.

Hospitality companies recognized are:

G6 Hospitality (11)

Hilton (18)

LaQuinta by Wyndham (44)

MGM Resorts International (92)

This year, more companies than ever before vied for a spot in the rankings. Nearly 200 organizations submitted substantially complete responses to the 91-question Best for Vets: Employers survey. A total of 132 employers made the list, comprising 113 for-profit companies, as well as 19 government and nonprofit organizations.

“The companies on the Military Times Best for Vets list earned their rankings through determined efforts to recruit and support service members, veterans and military families,” said George Altman, the Military Times editor in charge of the rankings. “These efforts deserve recognition from the country and should get the attention of veterans looking for a new career.”
