Omer Acar joins AHLA executive committee

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has appointed Raffles & Orient Express CEO Omer Acar to its executive committee.

“Omer is an accomplished leader and one of the world’s foremost experts in luxury hospitality,” said Chip Rogers, president/CEO, AHLA. “AHLA’s executive committee already features some of hospitality’s top minds, and the addition of Omer will help this esteemed group propel our association, our members and our industry to new heights.”

AHLA’s executive committee includes leaders representing all segments of the hospitality industry, and their insight guides its policy agenda

“AHLA executive committee membership is an amazing opportunity to help shape the many programs and policy efforts that are going to keep our industry moving forward,” said Acar, who was named CEO of the Accor brands in January. “I’m grateful to AHLA’s leadership team for their confidence in me and excited to get to work on behalf of the association’s members and the hotel & lodging industry.”

In other AHLA-related news, the association has revealed that The Hospitality Show 2024 will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio from Oct. 28 through Oct. 30, 2024.
