NATIONAL REPORT—The first Signature Hotel opens in San Francisco, My Place debuts in Illinois, plus more U.S. openings.
First Signature Hotel Comes to San Francisco
RLH Corporation has opened the Signature San Francisco, which is the first Signature hotel since the brand’s refresh was introduced last year. Accommodations include 34 guestrooms and two suites.
“The Signature brand has brought new life to my property and I am already seeing an increase in the average nightly rate and amount of reservations,” said Anil Patel, Signature San Francisco owner. “The RLH Corporation team has been with me every step of the way and I am thrilled with the results. I cannot wait for our guests to experience the brand-new Signature.”
Located at 259 7th St., the property is close to Westfield Center and Moscone Center, the city’s convention center.
First My Place Opens in Illinois
My Place Hotels of America opened the brand’s newest location in North Aurora, IL, marking My Place’s entry to Illinois. The three-story, 63-room hotel marks America’s 43rd My Place location across 21 states. My Place Hotel-Chicago West/North Aurora is located near Fox River, close to downtown Aurora and downtown Chicago.
The hotel is independently owned by N.A. Lodging 1 LLC (N.A. Lodging), a group of local members who collectively own and manage commercial real estate holdings in the greater Chicagoland area. With more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, the group’s focus includes manufacturing, mixed-use and retail spaces.
SpringHill Suites Opens in Punta Gorda, FL
Marriott International has opened the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Punta Gorda, FL. The 104-suite hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Kana Hotel Group of Knoxville, TN.
The SpringHill Suites Punta Gorda/Harborside is located in downtown Punta Gorda and overlooks the Peace River. The hotel offers guests access to Ponce de Leon Park, Laishley Park and Peace River Wildlife Center. Other attractions include Charlotte Sports Park, the spring training home of the Tampa Bay Rays, Fisherman’s Village, Fort Myers Beach and Englewood Beach.
Amenities include business services, complimentary WiFi, same-day dry cleaning, guest laundry facilities, a heated outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor fire pit and a fitness center.
Home2 Suites Opens First Property in Maine
Home2 Suites by Hilton Portland Airport has opened in South Portland, ME. The hotel has 111 suites and a range of value, tech-focused and eco-conscious amenities.
Owned by New Gen Ventures and managed by New Gen Hospitality Management LLC, the property offers all-suite accommodations with fully equipped kitchens, combined laundry and fitness area, an indoor saline pool and fire pit. It is also pet-friendly.
Renovated Best Western is Open is North Carolina
Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened the Best Western Plus University Inn in Winston Salem, NC. Managed by WNW Management, the hotel has 187 guestrooms and three suites.
This newly renovated hotel now has a 24-hour fitness center, king and double queen suites, pet-friendly rooms with wet bars and a 12,000-sq.-ft. multipurpose ballroom space. For business travelers, the hotel offers a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing and copying services. Meeting facilities include four meeting rooms accommodating 30-350 attendees.
Montana TownePlace Suites Opens Near Attractions
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Whitefish has opened in Whitefish, MT. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Glacier House Hotels of Scottsdale, AZ. The hotel is close to Glacier Park International Airport and downtown, and offers guests access to Whitefish Mountain Resort, Glacier National Park, Whitefish Lake and Whitefish Lake Golf Course.
The property offers studio and one-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas. Other hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, an exercise room open 24 hours per day, a meeting room, laundry facilities, complimentary WiFi and on-site business services.
