W Hotels Debuts Flagship in Northwest China
W Xi’an is the W Hotels brand’s seventh hotel in Greater China and the largest W to open in Asia Pacific. Owned by Vanzhong Real Estate and located in the Qujiang District, adjacent to Quijiang Pool Park, the hotel has 385 guestrooms and suites bring W guests a bold representation of Xi’an culture.
W Hotels Debuts in Malaysia
The W Kuala Lumpur has opened, marking the iconic brand’s first-ever hotel in Malaysia. Owned by Tropicana Corporation Berhad, the property immerses guests in the city’s greenery, cuisine and centuries-old history.
Accommodations include 150 guestrooms and suites, including two WOW suites and the Extreme WOW Suite—the brand’s take on the traditional presidential suite. All rooms and suites embody the traditional and modern elements of the Jungle City, teaming W essentials like signature W beds with traditional accents like indigenous “Wau” tassels commonly featured on Malaysian kites and pixelated versions of batik designs.
Fujita Kanko Opens Hotel Gracery Seoul in Korea
Fujita Kanko Inc., a Japanese hospitality company headquartered in Tokyo, will open Hotel Gracery Seoul in the capital city of South Korea on Aug. 31. This is the first Hotel Gracery property that the company is opening outside Japan.
The 335-room brand new hotel is located in the popular Myeongdong area in the heart of Seoul, the city’s hottest shopping district and main tourism hub, with numerous restaurants and entertainment spots.
