Marriott, Hilton Plant Flags in the Mountain States

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels from Marriott International Inc. and Hilton’s family of brands are opening out west. Here’s the latest:

Fairfield by Marriott Opens in Tolleson, AZ
The 116-room Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Tolleson, AZ, is now open for business. It is part of a mixed-use site owned and co-developed by Hotel Equities and its affiliated private equity partner, Virtua Partners. Virtua Credit Corporation arranged financing for the hotel, which features the latest design elements from the Marriott brand. Hotel Equities will operate the new hotel.

The Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites West Phoenix/Tolleson offers guests access to Glendale Arena, State Farm Stadium, Gila River Arena and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, valet laundry service, complimentary WiFi, business services and 536 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 10 people.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Opens in Washington, UT
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Washington, UT, is now open. The 111-suite hotel, located at 122 North Green Spring Dr., will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Pennbridge Lodging of Salt Lake City.

Located on the Green Spring Golf Course, the SpringHill Suites St. George/Washington offers guests access to Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Zion National Park, Sand Hollow State Park and Quail Lake.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs South Opens
Located Near Colorado Springs’ Revitalized South End District, the Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs South has opened. It offers 119 suites and a range of value, tech-focused and eco-conscious amenities.

“Colorado Springs’ South End is on the brink of a development boom,” said Chartwell Hospitality’s VP of Acquisitions/Development Will Schaedle. “Increased investments in the downtown area are attracting an influx of new businesses and visitors, and Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs South provides a much-needed extended-stay hotel in proximity to the area’s growing number of attractions.”

Owned and managed by Chartwell Hospitality, Home2 Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs South offers all-suite accommodations with fully-accessorized kitchens and modular furniture. The hotel is close to the pedestrian-friendly Creative District, the Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Broadmoor World Arena, Fort Carson and the United States Olympic Training Center, and it will offer nearby access to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, which is currently under construction and expected to open in 2020.

Denver Welcomes Dual-Branded Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton
The dual-branded Tru by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center and Home2 Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center has opened. The 382-room property (176 Tru by Hilton rooms and 206 Home2 Suites by Hilton suites) is owned and managed by Stonebridge Companies, and is located near top Denver destinations including the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Pepsi Center and 16th Street Mall.

Features unique to this dual-branded hotel include 3,300 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space with windows offering views of the Rocky Mountains, as well as the street-level Tempo Bar welcoming locals and tourists alike. The property will feature shared amenities such as a lobby with areas for guests to work, play games, eat and lounge; market for grab-and-go items; complimentary breakfast bar that includes more than 400 potential combinations; fitness center; guest laundry; valet parking; and five-story parking garage.
