INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Three hospitality groups recently made partnerships with technology companies with aims to foster new relationships and increase efficiency of hotel operations.
Frasers Hospitality
Frasers Hospitality, which operates nearly 150 serviced-residence and luxury boutique hotels across Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East, has partnered with Duetto to adopt its revenue strategy approach and cloud-based technology.
Frasers is implementing Duetto’s open pricing application, GameChanger, across its global portfolio, and the two companies are working together to create new features and strategies for room rates in the extended-stay segment of hospitality.
Frasers’ portfolio includes three serviced-residence offerings, two lifestyle hotel brands and two upscale-boutique concepts. Across all its brands, Frasers has approximately 23,600 rooms in more than 80 cities worldwide.
MGM Resorts International
Expedia Group revealed that MGM Resorts International is using Expedia Powered Technology as the back-end technology solution for its package booking platform. The deal utilizes Expedia Group’s technology and provides MGM Resorts with access to Expedia Group’s more than 550 airline relationships.
The new relationship creates an opportunity for MGM Resorts’ properties to leverage the strength of package bookings, which represent nearly one-quarter of Expedia Group’s booking to Las Vegas. Compared to standalone hotel bookers, Expedia Group package bookers typically book more than two times further out, stay two times longer and have one-third the cancellation rate.
G6 Hospitality
VersaPay Corporation, a provider of cloud-based invoice-to-cash solutions including electronic invoice presentment and payment, automated accounts receivable, cash application and collections management, partnered with G6 Hospitality LLC, a parent company of lodging brands Motel 6 and Studio 6, to deploy the Arc platform.
VersaPay Arc automatically reconciles payments and account information through integrations with a range of ERPs and accounting software.
“By implementing Arc, we will eliminate numerous manual steps in our existing workflow. This will improve the efficiency of our staff, enhance billing accuracy and streamline our end-to-end processes,” said John LaPlante, VP of IT and program management for G6 Hospitality.
